David Wardlaw Scott
David Wardlaw Scott, the 19th-century author who, in his book Terra Firma: The Earth Not a Planet, Proved from Scripture, Reason, and Fact, confirms God’s creation is an unmovable plain. Scott cites hundreds of Bible passages disproving scientism’s hypothesis of a spinning, wobbling world, which circles the Sun, while catapulting through space, with no observable parallax among the stars. Read his book; I’ll include a link below for you. Today we’re going to look at what the Chronicler has to say about all this spinning, flying, and circling (it reminds me of the Teacup Ride I dreaded going on as a kid). Then we’ll answer the question: Who’s circling whom? And what about that firmament God describes to us, with everything He puts in it, above it, and below it?
As an aside, I want to let you know how deceivers operate: for us to believe their lies, we must get conned into thinking we’re stupid for believing what the Bible teaches. They’re always trying to sell us on the latest things, newest discoveries, or technological advances, you know, because old stuff is stupid, and the older the stupider, so they say anyway. The truth is, there’s that pesky truth again, all wisdom comes from God who’s older than the universe He created.

3. Isaiah 40:22
So, we’re going to define attributes of a circle and sphere to figure out what Isaiah is talking about.
At some point we’ll climb a tree together to learn how far we really can see. I almost forgot, before we do that, we’re going to ask the angels what’s easier to stretch: a circle or a ball?
After, we’ll figure out which one of our friends, Geo or Helio, is real, and which one is a hologram.
We’re going to close with warlocks, witches, and wizards, to see whether they’re real or not. And if they are, how can we recognize them? I’ll end with what I know, and how I know it.

Foundation Of the World
Until the mid-18th century, most scholars interpreted biblical cosmology using the plain and simple meaning of the text. Once textual criticism legitimized spiritualizing God’s Word, so-called intellectuals (warlocks) introduced the allegorical method (witchcraft) to interpret Genesis.
These soothsayers (wizards) abandoned 5,800 years of literal Bible interpretation intending to discredit the Mosaic account of creation as recorded in Genesis. Out of fear of being viewed unscientific or anti-intellectual, theologians at the time began adopting what they knew to be lies: statistics compiled by warlocks, witches, and wizards.
Their adoption of foolish theories enabled scientism’s ability to cast spells upon lay people. Even though the Mosaic account is the most accurate creation report recorded, men like Charles Hodge (Systematic Theology, 1871, 570-71) adopted the scientific formula hoping to avoid conflict with science academies.
We see things differently, don’t we? You and I, we see evil waging unabated war against God’s people all around the world.
Fixed and Immovable (1 Chronicles 16:30)
The writer of 1 Chronicles records King David praising and thanking God for creating a world that never moves (1 Chron 16:29-31). Today, we understand the Hebrew word kuwn (כּוּן) to mean fixed and established. We also believe Timmowt. bal- (תִּמּֽוֹט׃ בַּל־) means It shall not be moved.
Job’s writer tells us God forever set His creation in place. The earth does not spin, rotate, wobble, or advance; it rests in place upon the foundations God created for it (Job 38:4).
Just like the 19th century theologian, Hodge, 21st century theologians fear being labeled anti-intellectual and unscientific by contemporary physicists (wizards) who search out new formulas as their old ones fall away, proving their insufficiency when measured against the elegance and simplicity of God’s Word.
The heliocentric sun-worshippers' model crumbles with the gentlest probing. Physicists like Jolly (1875), Michelson (1894), and Kelvin (1900) declared, in succession, all to discover has been discovered.
That is, of course, until the plagiarist Einstein, the quantum theorist Planck, and Hawking with his unifying theory of general relativity/quantum mechanics ensured the spell-casting grift would continue.
Between the Waters (Genesis 1:6-8)
On day two, God creates a physical barrier, a vault separating the waters He hovered over on day one. He calls the vault sky. We know the firmament holds back the waters above and below us.
Moses uses the Hebrew word raqiya` (רָקִ֖יעַ) to describe the firmament—a visible arch in the sky—derived from the verb raqa', implying a solid, hammered-out dome. Not a gaseous vapor buffering our atmosphere from the endless void of space.
The Brown-Driver-Briggs lexicon (fancy word for dictionary) defines it as an extended surface, a solid expanse, the vault of heaven, the firmament, and a flat expanse; that’s interesting.
Satan tries to deceive us with whimsical fantasies like moon landings, space travel, and satellite technology in his attempt to discredit God’s creation narrative.
The firmament seals the Earth not from the vacuum of space, which does not exist (let me know in the comments if you’d like to read about that one), but from the waters above and below it.
Later on, in Genesis, Moses tells us about how water burst from below and poured down from above to wash away the wicked (Gen 7:11).
Circular or Round (Isaiah 40:22)
The prophet Isaiah tells us God sits above the circle of the Earth. When we investigate the context, like the good exegetes we are, we find Isaiah using the Hebrew word chuwg (ח֣וּג) to describe a circle, circuit, or compass (use Biblehub.com to look it up; it’s free, I’ll put a link below).
If I asked you to describe a circle, how would you do it? You could go into a complex geometric description of its dimensional attributes, but if I were a child, what would you do?
I’m thinking you’d get a pen and paper, or maybe some flour or salt, but somehow you would draw me a circle. A two-dimensional image. That would be the easiest, right? Now, what if I asked you what a ball is? Could you draw me one? Some people could, I guess, but not me.
I’m going to find the nearest spherical object and use it as an example. It’s clear you’ll know the difference forever after that. What’s interesting is that before Isaiah tells us what a circle is (chuwg) he tells us what a ball is, kaddur כַּדּ֕וּר (Isa 22:18).
Circles are flat; balls are round. Balls bounce; circles don’t; we don’t catch and throw circles; we do that with balls. Have you ever tried to roll a circle?
The Angels (Revelation 7:1)
In John’s apocalyptic vision, he sees four angels posted on the corners of the Earth. While not a circle, it in no way implies a sphere. I guess, like Isaiah’s circle is a ball argument, Heliocentrists may have to start calling the Earth a cube, or something like that.
Maybe a brick, or a block of cheese, ya know, like the moon. They’ll never do it though; it would mess up their spell books too much. Even the most foolish of us would have a hard time swallowing that pill.
The four corners of Revelation shed new light on verses like Job’s clay under a seal statement (Job 38:14). And Matthew’s recollection of Satan taking Jesus to a high mountain showing Him the world (Matt 4:8).
Bible scholars, theologians, and scientists use fancy words like phenomenological and idiomatic to explain John’s plain and simple four-corners language.
So, let’s go with it.
It’s popular to say John doesn’t mean corners; he’s tryin to describe the four cardinal directions, ya know, like on a compass: north, south, east, west. Seems like a smarter guy than that to me, but let’s follow this thing to the end.
So, say we are standing at the top of the world where all the longitude lines converge. And as an example, we walk south on the 90o longitude which goes through the South Pole where all longitudes converge again.
If we turned around to go back the way we came, we’d be going north. But if we keep traveling the way we we’re goin, as soon as we advance one step forward, we move in a northern direction.
Does that make sense to you? Me neither. The warlocks, witches, and wizards will patronize our stupidity, explaining it’s just too complicated for us to understand, so we should trust the science.
There’s a lot of that goin around. The feeble-minded among us will go along with it. Eyes God opens see the truth and expose wicked lies.
A Tree (Daniel 4:10-11)
When none of King Nebuchadnezzar II’s magicians, enchanters, astrologers, or diviners can interpret his dream, he calls on Daniel (Belteshazzar) to explain its meaning to him. The mighty Babylonian King’s life would change a year later.
While God’s prophet uses symbolism from the King’s dream to interpret its meaning, it does not discredit the creation narrative. The tree in the dream symbolizes Nebuchadnezzar’s far-reaching power and influence when viewed from its top.
His reach extends to the end of creation, which is only visible from the highest point in the sky, God’s firmament, His divider created to separate the waters above from those below. From there we see the ends of the Earth.
Since spheres have no ends, it can only mean a horizontal plain with no ends in sight.
While the dream, and its interpretation, uses a series of metaphors to convey the cost of taking credit for what only God can do, its symbolism reflects the reality of God’s creation as depicted by Moses in Genesis I.
The Earth is a closed system, contained within the firmament, which remains motionless in a universe set upon the world’s foundation.

Believers are God’s special, treasured possession

You're destined to reign with Christ,
Be served by angels, whom you will sit in judgement of in heaven (Gen 1:26-28; Heb 1:14; 1Cor 6:3).
Using scientism’s methods of observation, experimentation, and testing, we can prove the Earth is a self-contained, motionless plain around which the universe revolves.
Scientific naturalism cosmology uses unprovable theories to cast spells upon and enslave God’s people, us.
Warlocks, Witches, and Wizards
Putting the Sun at the center of the universe derived from an accidental, unknowable cause, implies mankind’s insignificance and futility; it attempts to diminish the reality of God’s image living in us.
His creativity, power, and will, cannot be suppressed. Relativity’s nature dictates the idea of motion being unprovable, making it impossible to disprove the Earth at the center of the universe. Heliocentrists like Pythagoras, Copernicus, Newton, and Einstein worship the Sun, and make it the center of their universe.
We can only speculate why they do this, but their claims to understand creation are insincere and seen as evil by God and His chosen people, Believers.
